Q
The wireless internet connection is not very reliable and cuts out a lot, especially on the second floor. Is there a way to fix this?
It's difficult to study/complete assignments while having to reconnect to the internet every 10 minutes or so

Answer
Wireless connectivity can be affected by many factors, especially in a high-network-traffic area such as the 2nd floor of the Library. Mac laptops seem especially prone to intermittant problems. I will forward your comment and question to ITS-Network Administration, the department responsible for Mustang Wireless on campus.
We recommend using one of the desktop computers located on all floors of the Library when a reliable, secured internet connection is required. See link below for computer locations and real-time availability. Thanks for your feedback, we are listening!

- We have been experiencing some problems with the wireless network lately, and we are working to fix them ASAP.
- I have this problem too on my PC laptop - I am lucky to get online at all, and if I do get on, I get kicked off about 10 minutes later. Very frustrating when all of the library computers are occupied, and I can't use my laptop to study.
- We're working with Information Technology Services to double capacity over the next two months. You'll soon see technicians with ladders installing new access points all over the library.
